Declan Reede and Alyssa Dawson have been friends for so long before that fateful card game that began their dating relationship. That kiss launched them both into the world of teenage dating with its ups and downs and the “I can’t be away from you” feelings. Being teenagers they also don’t see eye to eye on his dream of being a driver in the ProV8 series. Alyssa feels Declan should go to college with her and put his race car dreams on hold but Declan feels he doesn’t need a backup plan for after racing. When he’s offered a chance at the career of his dreams, he straps himself in for the ride regardless of the costs.This series is one major ride. It is told completely from Declan’s point of view. I love how the author is able to write from his point of view as he grows from a teenage Australian boy to an adult on his way to becoming a racing legend. The series takes place in Australia and does use Australian dialect that has you feeling as if you are really there with the characters.
There were so many times where I felt I was watching a train wreck about to happen and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I even was about to throw my kindle over events that needed to have been stopped but couldn’t. I also found myself at times wanting to strangle Declan for his childish and selfish actions yet at other times I totally agreed and with why he reacts the way he did.
The author did such an amazing job with minor details and the twists and turns in the story may leave you with a bit of whiplash, but the author takes us around every corner smoother than any gps. Her ability to keep the details correct with all the turns in the story, with the mystery and suspense of the plot gives us very believable characters.
This series is not a light read but it is very addicting. It is one of my favorite series and Declan is my number one race car driver. Every word is written with a purpose and seeing the characters grow along with the events taking place only adds depth to their personalities. So even though the plot has curves in the road sending the story in a direction I didn’t see coming, it kept me on my toes and turning the pages. I will be reading more from this author.

I have read each of Declan's books from the time Michelle Irwin first published Decide. Her writing is fluent and easy flowing allowing the story to sweep you up and take you on the ride of Declan's life. You ride the highs and lows with him through this romance story against all odds.
Michelle definitely has the wow factor in her writing and grabs you straight up and makes you wanting more even at the very end.

Wow! This was a big book! It was 4 full length books and a novella add in a few bonus chapters at the end and it is one wild ride! That will make it harder to review but I'll break down each one into a short section.
*Decided is the before or the start of these characters (that's what I call it). We meet the characters and see how their past was intertwined and the friendship that turned to more. I will say it wasn't my favorite because of their ages. They were really immature some of the time. Petty attitudes, fighting over nothing.... typical teenage stuff. As I kept reading and it got better.
*Decline was filled with so much heartache! I was shocked. I cried, I laughed and I was hooked! Declan and Alyssa had a lot to deal with in this book, and the push and pull continued from the first novella. Secrets are revealed and hearts are broken. The writing was good and I liked all the racing enlightenment. I did hope for more characters dialogue but being the first in the series, we learn a lot about Declan in this book. Both his past and present. I would have liked Alyssa POV in this story. 4 stars
*Deceive is the second book and started off where Decide left off. With out spoiler I liked seeing Declan try. Yes, he was still pretty immature but you could feel his feelings for Alyssa throughout the whole book. He really tried. It's a lot of work for him and I wish she had been a little more open to the things he was doing and not focusing on the bad. I do like that she likes be for him has never faded and she really wanted him to be the man she knew he could be.4 stars
*Decipher has to be the best out of the three that I've read. It's full of feeling and keeps you in the edge of your seat wondering that's going to happen. I can't really talk to much about it because it could spoil but totally hooked me! I was able to connect with Alyssa a lot more in this book too. 4 stars #2OCCJD
*Declare was the amazing final full length book of these characters! It wasn't an easy ride to get to the happy ending. I won't go into detail but by the end of this book I had a smile on my face. From the start of this book, I was glad that we see the high start to their happy ending! After everything they have been through they deserved it. The author did an amazing job at wrapping up this live story.
*Decode is a bonus chapters/novella at the end of this series and I loved it! Getting to see an extra tidbit from between the last chapter of book 4 and the epilogue was special! I giggled and felt everything Declan was going through!
Overall, this was a really wild ride! The author did an awesome job at keeping the pace throughout all that went on, and there was a lot. Simply put l, this is a story about these two characters that are meant to be together despite everything that they have to go through, and trust me, it's a lot! I can't wait to see what's to come for Phoebe Reede (she has her own series!) 4 stars. #2OCCJD
